About My Classes: I teach Algebra 1S, Algebra 1H, and Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving. In my classes, you can expect to be challenged and to grow as a result. The work will be doable but difficult because if it isn't, then I'm wasting your time. My expectations for work ethic, quality of work, and behavior will be high but reasonable, and this applies to the students as well as myself.
About My Education and Experience: This is my tenth year at Limestone Community High School. I previously taught math at Princeville High School and then spent some time tutoring and teaching ACT Review classes while focusing on my young children. I have a Bachelor's degree in secondary math education from the University of Illinois and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Illinois State University.
About Me: My husband John and I are both from Washington, IL and are raising our children just a couple of miles from where we grew up. My husband teaches math and coaches softball for Eureka District 140 and we recently celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. Our four children range in age from 14-22 years old and have taught me more about life and teaching than any other experience in my life. My favorite things to do include spending time with my family, reading, volunteering in my community, and going on walks.
